My role: Digital Marketing Manager
The project: I was tasked with writing blogs for the website. The first was a short post on how to grow eCommerce sales in 2020 which can be read here. The second blog was a long form on how consumer spending habits had changed in 2020 because of COVID-19 for which I have pictures uploaded above.
Obstacles: At the time of writing the long form article which was in May 2020, COVID-19 was still pretty new and therefore there was not too much data available on the effects of the changes.
Method to achieve the goal: Due to the uncertainty, I needed to research a lot of data before coming up with my final long form article. In addition, I needed to present the data in a creative manner so that it kept users engaged and they wanted to continue reading the article.
What I learned: Writing is a long process and can constantly be improved. I started with my draft but strived to make my article better every day. In the end, you need you pick a final date by which no more major changes need to be implemented so that the article can be posted on time.
