Acadium is an online platform that matches small business owners who are looking for people to complete various digital marketing tasks with apprenticeships tied to their business for a duration of three months.
My role: Digital Marketing Apprentice
The Project: For this projects, I decided to push myself and decided to look for three apprenticeships at one time to see how far my abilities would take me.Each business had a number of tasks they wanted me to complete for blog posts, content creation for social media and coming up with a media kit for a book launch combined with a report. I will talk about the book launch for Stacey at Shake Marketing.
Obstacles: Create a media kit and find avenues to promote this new book virtually due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
Method to achieve goal: We started with a template and the content we wanted to include in the report as it would be a great marketing resource while promoting the book. Next , I came up with a color palette and the design to be included in the survey. After that I formatted it so that the overall layout was concise and added the appropriate images.
What I learned: Launching a book involves so many different steps from deciding on a launch date, the promotion to go with it, to creating publicity and marketing materials to contacting institutions where the book can be used as a textbook.
